Kremasti Square

One of the most beautiful squares of the old town of Corfu, Kampielo front of the church of Panagia Kremasti to feature well in the center.
This element, namely the existence of the well, are characteristic of many squares of Corfu. This is because the city was irrigated from cisterns built the aqueduct before the period of British rule, the British High Commissioner Adam. The elegant mouth of the well with the relief decoration, was donated to the Community by Anthony Kokkini 1669.
